Regional centres MyOUSL

Regional centres are the hubs of regional activity, commerce, and identity. They contain a mix of commercial and residential uses, as well as amenities. They are designed to encourage walkability and improve the quality of life in the local community. For this reason, regional centres are usually defined as high-density areas.

To help regional centres become more efficient and effective, the Open University of Sri Lanka recently organized a three-day training workshop. This training workshop covered key areas of regional centre operations, including student recruitment and admissions, budget planning and human resource recruitment. Other topics covered included the development of programs and learning facilities.

Study centres

Students who want to study in an open university in Sri Lanka have a variety of options. For example, students can enroll for a course at one of the MyOUSL study centres or apply for a distance learning course. Applicants may also choose to enroll in a hybrid course that combines both online and offline learning. The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) also operates a network of libraries for students. These libraries are located in each Study Center. They are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. They are closed on Full Moon Poya Days.

Apart from its main campus in Colombo, OUSL has various study centres across Sri Lanka. These centres have a total enrollment of between 1,000 and 6,000 students. It has a multi-media teaching system and incorporates printed course material, audio visual aids, discussions, tutor clinics, and web-based learning. The study system also incorporates final examinations and continuous assessments.

Online support

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has several ways to support students. These services are available on its portal, MyOUSL. They include shortened metadata, an SMS-based ask-a-librarian service, and indexed recommended literature and course materials. These services also help students access course materials, register for final exams, and pay their course fees.

Credit rating

The Credit rating for MyOUSL is calculated based on a number of factors. First, the credit rating agency looks at a borrower’s cash flow and current debt levels. If a borrower has steady income, their credit rating will be higher. However, if their economic outlook is uncertain, their credit rating will be lower. Other factors that affect the credit rating are the type of debt and payment history. It is important to note that a credit rating is not an absolute score and may not be the most accurate.

Sharing of knowledge and skills

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has developed an online portal for students. The portal includes a library, course materials and recommended readings, and an SMS-based ask-a-librarian service. The portal is also accessible in remote areas.
