What is UELMS
UELMS is a consortium of leading European universities formed in 2006. Its purpose is to promote cooperation between member universities in research and teaching in the fields of library and information science.
The University of Evansville Library System is a public library system in Evansville, Indiana. With a collection of over 490,000 items, UELMS is the largest library system in the fifth-largest city in the United States.
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Students’ Union (UELM) is a student-run organization that provides services and activities for students at the university. UELM has teams for every sport offered by the university, as well as a variety of other clubs and organizations. Members of UELM can found on campus in dorms, on various social media platforms, and at events held by the union.
UELMS offers several competitive sports teams for students to participate in. The most popular sport at ULM is football, which is play by both men’s and women’s teams. UELM also has basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, softball, track & field, and cross country teams available for students to join.
A large part of what makes UELMS such a great organization is its commitment to giving back to the community. In addition to hosting many events throughout the year open to the public, UELM also volunteers extensively within Monroe and surrounding communities. Recent projects have included work with Habitat for Humanity and helping out with Special Olympics local events.

UELM Funding & Investment
The University of Edinburgh Medical School (UELM) is a world-leading medical school based in Scotland. It offers full-time postgraduate courses in medicine and Dentistry, as well as part-time courses.
UELMS receives funding from the University of Edinburgh and the Scottish Government. The University of Edinburgh also provides support to UELM through a number of scholarships and bursaries. In recent years, UELMS has received significant investment from the private sector, with donations from pharmaceutical companies like AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline. This investment has helped to secure UELMS’ position as one of the world’s leading medical schools.
UELMS has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality training in both medicine and dentistry. Over the past 10 years, UELMS has ranked first in the UK for graduate employability by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings for Medicine & Dental Medicine. UELM Key Metrics
The University of Edinburgh Medical School (UELM) is a world-leading medical school with a strong focus on teaching and research. It has awarded full accreditation by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) and is recognised as one of Scotland’s leading medical schools.
In recent years, UELM has made significant progress in key metrics such as student satisfaction, research citations and international student recruitment. In 2018/19, 95% of students rated their overall experience at UELM as ‘good’ or ‘very good’, making it the second highest rating out of all Scottish medical schools. This high level of satisfaction is evident across all areas of study, with particular strengths in clinical training (95%) and research (92%).
Research output at UELM has also been increasing steadily over the past few years. In 2018/19, research outputs totalled 2,471 pages including peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers and book chapters – an increase of over 50% since 2016/17. This strong performance is reflect in UELMS’s ranking within the UK medical school league tables; in 2018/19 it was place eighth overall, up from 15th position five years earlier. The success of UELMS’s research can attributed to its strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration between departments and its wealth of specialist facilities.
