A delegation from the has visited the Pakistan Information Technology PAF HRMIS Board to discuss IT initiatives and plan of action. They discussed various projects including HRMIS, ERP Warehouse, e-FOAS and Smart Monitoring of Development Projects. The delegation also met with the Director Software Engineering of PITB.
Information technology
The decentralisation of Information Technology (IT) Click in the paf HRMIS system is being discussed in the government. This would strengthen the control over payroll and reduce delays in updating personnel records. However, the government is also concerned with the cost of maintaining HRMIS systems. Consequently, it is reviewing its IT system in order to reduce the cost.
PITB delegation
The delegation was welcomed by Minister of Higher Education and Information Technology Raja Yassir Humayoun Sarfraz, and Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor, who briefed the delegation about PITB’s projects and other initiatives. Minister Yassir stressed the need for the government to support information technology business and provide the basic infrastructure for it.
The PITB delegation met with the CEO of the state-owned LLC RITE, and showcased its plans for turning Punjab into a hub of information technology. The delegation also had a meeting with representatives from the Punjab Curriculum and Text Book Board and other IT companies. The meeting took place in the city of Moscow, where a delegation of ten members was invite.
