NSCC Ivany Campus offers a Wide Range of Training Programs
The NSCC Ivany campus offers a variety of training programs for students interested in a career in the health care field. Students can choose from courses in accounting, business administration, health care, public relations, journalism, culinary arts, pharmacy tech, cosmetology, emergency management, horticulture, ocean resources, cyber security, addictions and outreach, child and youth care, and criminal justice. The NSCC Ivany campus has an online radio station run by students in the Radio, Television and Journalism program. The station features works by students and award-winning faculty. The station is student-run and produced through a partnership between classes and student organizations. It has featured many alumni, faculty, and students who have released albums. This includes Jazz & Contemporary Music faculty member Sarah Elizabeth Charles, and CoPA alum Clifton Joey Guidry III. Some alumni have been nominated for Grammy Awards and many students and alumni have released albums as well.
Students from the NSCC Ivany campus have an opportunity to be heard across the province through their online radio station, “The Platypus.” The station has a number of online programs that are available online. The station’s online programming is available to NSCC students, faculty, and the public.
